I am a Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). I will join the Department of Cybersecurity and Intelligent Systems Engineering (CISE) at the Gina Cody School of Engineering and Computer Science, Concordia University, Montreal, as a PhD candidate. I completed my MSc at BUET with a thesis on malware family classification using contrastive learning.

My research is in systems and software security. It spans malware analysis and classification, security testing methodology, and the analysis of security-relevant properties of real systems. My teaching centres on computer security, and also covers programming, data structures, computer architecture, operating systems, and computer networks.

Alongside my academic work, I have carried out security assessments and incident response on national-scale government infrastructure in Bangladesh, and I build and operate production systems, including a web and mobile platform serving roughly 20,000 users per week. This applied practice informs my research: it grounds my questions about system security in the behaviour of deployed systems.
